Violin by Carlo Giuseppe Testore

For many years the Spanish violinist, Lina Tur-Bonet had exclusive use of this Testore violin, with which she performed all over Europe, as well as for her final recital at the University for Music in Vienna. She was later able to acquire a French violin of note. Lina performed with Orpheon on many tours.
Currently the Testore violin is in the able hands of the young virtuoso, Martin Masan, who regularly performs and records on this instrument. Here an excerpt from a performance of the Concerto for violin and orchestra by Johannes Brahms:
